Humane Mouse Trap

I'm sick again today, so I had to stay home from school, and I had lots of free time. My parents caught a mouse in that horrible trap they use, so I searched the internet for humane ones I could make myself, because.... I don't think that the mice deserve to die just because of what they are. All they're trying to do is survive.

Inhumane Mouse Trap
The evil trap.

I found a few, and decided to use the bottle one, because it was really easy to make, unlike the others. I couldn't find a two liter bottle though, so I had to use a smaller one. I hope the mouse can't escape from it. I put harvest crunch cereal and soy nuts in the bottom as bait. I think the mice should be able to smell it well enough. I was going to use peanut butter, but I have no idea where my mom keeps it. If I'd known where it was I would've used that instead.

Humane Bottle Mouse Trap
My nice, humane trap.

I put the trap in the same cupboard as where my parents had put that evil, torturous trap, so that I was sure the mice would be able to find it. I hid it from plain view behind some boxes and milk bags that were already there. I'll get a picture of the trap as soon as I can. The batteries from my camera are still charging.

I really hope that the mice go into the trap I made instead of the other one. If they knew the difference, they would. But then again, if they knew the difference, why would they go into the traps at all?

  1. ...if it worked, can you tell me how to make it. I don't want to kill the mice in my house. I want to be able to catch them, and set them free.
